Here at Cross Realm Faire, we love turning your faire experience into a game! And as every gamer knows, a game needs a rulebook to guide you on how the game must be played in order to have the best experience. As GarrBodge says, "NO CHEATERS!" So here are our rules for a fun and safe Cross Realm Faire. If you have any questions about our polices and guidelines (After you have read them), then email us at info@crossrealmevents.com. Safety Rules

* No committing blatant crimes (DUH).
* No firearms or props that can be confused with functional firearms (unless you are hired law enforcement).
* No projectile ammo such as arrows or nerf gun bullets (the nerf gun or bow alone is okay).
* No recreational drugs such as marijuana.
* No unauthorized fire related props or intense lasers.
* All swords and other sharp pointy weapons must be sheathed and peace-tied at all times.
* No unauthorized motor vehicles inside of the event.
* No unauthorized personnel trespassing after the event closes (even if your friend invites you to stay).
* Smoking must stay within the designated smoking areas.
* No unauthorized pets (Service animals are welcome of course, as long as they behave).
*Last but not least, remember to take care of your body and mind. Drink water and eat, get some good sleep the night before, wear sunscreen if needed, dress for the weather, WEAR DEODORANT. Don't stress too much about the plans for the day, just have fun and do what feels right in the moment.

All weapons must be checked at the main gate. All masks and facial coverings must be removed at the main gate to allow staff to identify you. Masks may be put back on as soon as you are cleared to enter.
 
 


Behavior Rules

* No bullying, harassment, or being obviously creepy.
*When a staff member asks you to do something, just do it (Unless there's a safety concern, then contact security).
* Respect everyone's physical and social boundaries and their personal property. Get clear consent first before you touch or take pictures (Official performers already consent to being recorded in the public spaces).
* No stealing, cheating, or "finders keepers" (Deliver lost items to Lost And Found).
* No excessive unauthorized performing or asking for tips (Let the performers do their jobs, simple roleplay is fine and encouraged).
* No unauthorized music (singing and clapping along is okay).
* No unauthorized duels or other forms of fighting (There will be designated areas where you may fight).

* No heckling at stage shows (participate only when invited).

Costume Rules
​
* Clothing must provide the same level of body coverage expected at an all-ages public beach. No speedos or thongs. (Remember children will be there).
* Clothing may not include words, images, or symbols that convey racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise prejudiced, discriminatory, or bigoted messages or sentiments, uncensored profanities or pornographic content.
* Costumes may not be confused for or interpreted as impersonation of police, military, fire marshals, paramedics, etc. Active duty military personnel are permitted to wear their government-issued uniforms.
*Any props that make noise must not be excessively loud.



If at any point you witness a rule breaker that is causing concern, please report the incident to security or email us at info@crossrealmevents.com. Our team will then investigate the situation and come to a conclusion on what the best course of action will be.

We understand that, at times, participants will have disagreements or interpersonal conflicts that do not necessarily escalate to the point of harassment or abuse. We will not arbitrate such disagreements and ask that you please leave these conflicts at home.




What We Encourage

* Dress up in costume.
* Roleplay a character.
* Participate in activities, games, and stage shows (when invited).
* Talk to the performers in the lanes.
* Treat yo self to delicious food/drink and fun artist-friendly products.
* Tip the performers who made you happy.
* Go at your own pace and feeling comfortable. 
* Admire the decorations and other cosplays.
* Make lots of friends and become a part of our community.
