Dealy Dally

Untitled_Artwork copy.jpg

Welcome to Dealy Dally, the home of Cross Realm Faire! This small condominium town is located on a crossroads of four neighboring kingdoms with a purpose of providing a safe place to hold an annual political gathering to ensure the survival of the kingdoms from larger threats. Here you will find all sorts of fantastical races such as elves, fae, dwarves, merfolk, and more! The town of Dealy Dally will be officially created the first year of the faire and will grow into a flourishing and bustling city over time. Every year, a representative of each neighboring kingdom will run for Chancellor of Dealy Dally. Patrons will be able to attend debates and even vote for the Chancellor for the next year! Cultures from each neighboring kingdom will be represented through decorations, activities, shows and more!

The Main Kingdoms

Humans of Strutten

A hybrid species, originally born from an Elf and a Dwarf, evolved into their own bonified race over thousands of years. After many eras of discrimination from the elves and dwarves, the humans adapted to breed far more than the other races, causing them to become an extremely flirtatious and "strutting" society. Strutten has become an extremely wealthy and agricultural Kingdom located in the plains to the West.

Wood Elves of Blossomere

The Sylvarin are an ancient magical race who focus on natural balance, at least according to their beliefs. They are extremely traditional and headstrong, often thinking they are the most worthy to make decisions for the entire continent. These enduring Elves live the longest lives by far, making them the wisest and most knowledgeable of the races. The Kingdom of Blossomere is located deep in the Endless Forest to the South, where the veil is thin and portals to the Fae Realm are abundant.

Dwarves of Steingard

An ancient mighty race who mostly dwell inside massive mountains that are more than what they seem. This race has a special connection to the stone and have forbidden the use magic. They have a habit of drinking their sorrows away, but they do sure know how to party. The Kingdom of Steingard is located in the mountains to the North.

Pirates of Eastfin Harbor

Eastfin Harbor was originally founded by human settlers along the coast to the East under a different name with the intent of being a successful trading port. But with the powerful Kingdom of Strutten being thousands of miles to the West and war erupting, pirates were able to take over the city. Pirates had turned Eastfin Harbor into an anarchist city-state where the elected officials have less control than the Mob Bosses of the streets. Merfolk and other uncommon races who come from over seas usually arrive at the Eastfin Harbor docks before traveling to Dealy Dally.

Less Common Races

Fae - Exceptionally magical humanoid creatures from the Fae Realm who travel through tears in the veil.

Gnomes - Originally exiled Dwarves, simple folk who mostly live in small villages of shallow mounds. They have large rounded ears with a slight point.

Merfolk - Humanoid fish folk from the Eastern Ocean who have some unique magical abilities. They have a large variety of appearances, but are most commonly blue with fins attached to their head, arms, and legs.

Goblins - These creatures are scattered in small tribes all over Adventura, some even living in sewers or alley ways of the cities. They come in mostly shades of green, yellow, and browns and have large pointed ears.

Trolls - Creatures of the Stone mostly hailing from the northern mountains. Contrary to popular belief, these creatures can live in sunlight albeit they're still more sensitive than most. Once a year, they return to the stone to hibernate and share dreams with the Stone.

Lúmarin (Deep Elves) - Elves who come from a small kingdom in a bioluminescent aberration deep underground. They have translucent looking skin with a slight blueish green, or gray shade and glowing bioluminescent freckles. They wear cloth over their eyes in the sun, as their eyes are not adjusted to the rays.

Animal Folk - Animals who were transformed into a humanoid by various unnatural means such as a magical spell.

Drakyn - Humanoid dragon folk who mostly live in a small cluster of floating islands to the South East. They have dragon like horns on their head, claws, a tail, pointed ears and come in a variety of colors.

Vagarin (Plains Elves) - Elves who migrated to the western plains long ago and became a small nomadic tribe who travel on land ships (wagons with sails) with red colored tribal markings.

*Races from other continents*

Altarin (High Elves) - Exceptionally magical elves from a small continent to the south. Typically only travel to Adventura for Political reasons.

Volcarin (Ash Elves) - From the Ashland continent to the west, these elves have a desert-post apocalyptic like culture, have faded purple skin, and practice some questionable forms of magic.

Orcs - From the Ashlands, the Orcs have a fearsome and savage tribe often raiding the western coastal villages of Strutten territory. However, some individual Orcs migrate to Adventura for a more civilized life. They have green, yellow, and brown skin tones (like goblins) and lower tusks that poke out of their mouths.

Religion

Cross_Realm_Faith-cutout.png
Cross_Realm_Faith-cutout.png

In the Adventura Accord addendum added immediately after the Alliance War against the evil wizard Phillym Túmes and his cult, it is declared that the Inquisition would establish a new faith called the Duvanian Syncretic Church located in Dealy Dally, which is a coherent combination of all of the major religious interpretations. This church is named after the first Inquisitor Duvana Stoneheart, a Dwarven women who sacrificed herself to defeat the evil wizard.

In this religion, there are five main gods that are most commonly worshipped...

* Carraig - Known as the Mason or the Stone, patron of the Dwarves and Trolls, forbids all magic use

*Ishkeh - Known as the Distiller or the Water, patron of the Pirates and Merfolk

*Leothné - Known as the Aerialist or the Air, patron of the Drakyn and Vagarin

*Beathra - Known as the Mother or Life itself, patron of the Sylvarin (Wood Elves)

*Dree-úkt - Known as the Conduit or Magic itself, patron to all magic users

And then there are four older, less commonly worshipped, but equally respected Gods who created the other Gods and the universe.

*Atamach - Known as the Builder
*Búnlúth - Known as the Energist
*Solast - Known as the Light Keeper
*Nien'brahed - Known as the Psychopomp

The purpose of this new faith is to establish a common culture that will allow peace to continue amongst the powers of Adventura. It recognizes (almost) all of the Gods recognized across Adventura so every major culture is represented.
