Ever wanted to be an actor or "NPC" for a RenFaire, but don't know where to start? Or have you always wanted to do more street cast work but wished there were professional options? We got you covered!
What is Cast?
Cast or "Street Cast" is the group of performers who create characters and acts specifically made for a particular festival. So this does NOT refer to the entertainment shows that travel to many other festivals. Please see the Entertainment tab for those shows. An example of a cast member is the King/Queen and their royal court at a RenFaire. Every cast member is directed by one person (or team) and works together to bring a festival to life.
Our goal is to one day have one of the most extensive and involved street casts on the RenFaire circuit. Cast members will provide quests, act out scenes and play music in the lanes, announce stage show times, and some will even have their own stage shows.
We will be holding auditions for both professionally paid and volunteer positions in 2027. First year professional cast pay will vary going up to $300 each per performance weekend and prior performance experience is preferred. Volunteer cast will eventually turn into a stipend position as well as the faire grows, no experience required. All cast pay will rise over the years as the budget increases. All cast will attend rehearsals and improv training together on weekends prior to the faire. Schedule tbd.

Races Guide for Cast
We want our non-human races to look and act like those races, not just appear to be humans wearing a costume. We want to "WOW" our audience and make them feel like they really are in the world of Cross Realm Faire.
